North Woodlands Medical Centre is a group of seven family physicians who together with other health care professionals provide comprehensive medical care for men and women of all age groups - from newborns to the elderly. In addition to family physicians our team includes registered nurses and registered practical nurses, mental health counselors, community nurse for home visits and, soon, a pharmacist. We also have a diabetic nurse and a dietitian who come to our office once weekly to service our patients.

North Woodlands Medical Centre is part of Brantford Family Health Organization (FHO) and as such provides patients with access to after-hours clinic 7 days a week.

At North Woodlands Medical Centre we provide:

• periodic health exams (former annual physicals),
• driver's physicals,
• newborn and well baby care,
• gynecological assessment and prenatal care,
• care for the elderly,
• basic palliative care,
• preventive screening, health education and promotion,
• mental health and counseling,
• immunizations,
• allergy shots,
• treatment of warts, minor skin lesions and "sun-damaged" spots.

Additional services provided by specific physicians:

• minor procedures, including removal of benign lesions and suturing of lacerations
• joint injections
• IUD insertion
• house calls
• comprehensive diabetic care

No appointment is usually required for:

• Urinary tract infection (UTI) symptoms
• Blood pressure checks
• Immunizations (flu shots during the fall seasons, Tb tests, injections when patients being their medication from the pharmacy)
• Allergy shots
